The Sentinel KYC-RWA Tokenisation Framework is a composable system for tokenizing Real-World Assets (RWAs) with regulatory Know-Your-Customer (KYC) compliance on Aptos, using the Move language. It supports the blockchain integration of physical and digital assets by aligning with regulatory requirements.
Sentinel is versatile and can be applied to various real-world assets, including property and securities, with the flexibility to meet regulatory needs across different jurisdictions.
Sentinel consists of two primary modules:
KYC Controller Oversees KYC compliance and transaction policy enforcement.
Dispatchable Fungible Asset Manages the asset's distribution and balance modifications.
Sentinel uses a KYC Controller to enforce identity-based transaction policies. Every transaction undergoes checks to ensure that only compliant transfers are allowed, based on predefined rules such as eligible countries, investor statuses, and transaction limits.
The KYC Controller configures and updates transaction policies, defining rules for transaction eligibility, limits, and compliance criteria. This ensures that Sentinel can adapt to regulatory changes over time.
KYC Registrars verify user identities based on predefined criteria set by the KYC Controller admin. They assign users a country and investor status, which are then used to enforce transaction policies.
Yes, Sentinel’s transaction policies are customizable to accommodate various regulatory requirements, including country-specific rules, blacklist countries, and velocity limits on transaction frequency and amount.
If a transaction does not comply with all applicable policies, it is blocked and not executed. This ensures that all asset transfers remain within the regulatory framework.
Sentinel stores minimal identity information, such as country and investor status, without keeping sensitive personal details, providing a balance between regulatory compliance and user privacy.
